Born in Antwerp, a city known for creativity, craftmanship and entrepreneurship, KAAI was created for women building lives full of purpose.
Every design starts with her reality of busy schedules, big ambitions, and countless roles to navigate. We believe true luxury lies in thoughtfull solutions, timeless design and products that empower the woman who’re wearing them.
Out bags are made to support women through meetings, milestones, travel and everyday moments alike. Today, KAAI has grown far beyond its Belgian roots, but its mission remains unchanged. To design companions for women who are going places.

DESIGNED FOR EVERYWHERE.
Founded in 2017, by Ine Verhaert and Helga Meersmans, KAAI was set out to reimagine the perfect work-life bag for the eclectic woman with exquisite style standards.
Before, the duo spent a lot of time travelling around the world. Rushing from one meeting to the next during their corporate careers. Their main companions: a laptop, a mobile phone, lots of paperwork, and women’s essentials, all stuffed into their handbags.
Desperately looking for a stylish bag to complement their active lifestyles, they knew they could do better. So they got a handle (pun intended) on their idea: creating a new bag concept for women on the go.
Capturing the ongoing energy of the city and the ever-moving water of Antwerp, KAAI (meaning ‘the quay’ in Dutch) symbolises the fluidity of modern women, going places.

Design at KAAI is never driven by aesthetics alone. Each silhouette is developed around the realities of modern life, balancing functionality, comfort and timeless style.
From the placement of the inside pockets to the width of the bag, every detail is carefully considered and tested. Designer Helga refines proportions, and obsesses over every detail so that each bag feels intuitive from the very first use.
Premium materials and craftmanship bring ideas to life, but true luxury lies in the experience they create.
The result is a bag that works quietly in the background, making every day feel a little easier. Thoughtful design meets effortless use.
